1. By Far the Most Varied Selection Anyone Offers to US Customers 🇺🇸
When competitors offer you Harvia, Narvi, and Huum, we offer you Harvia, Narvi, Kastor, Helo, Mondex, Misa, VETO… you get the picture.
How is that possible?
If you’ve ever wondered why virtually all other sauna stores have such limited selection, it’s because it’s all that’s available to them: they have poor access to sauna heaters and therefore have to rely on distributors.
That’s not how we operate. We have cut out the middlemen and gone straight to the source: Finland. 🇫🇮 That’s where the absolute majority of sauna heaters are made before few of them are shipped to North American retailers.
We saw the problem and thought of a solution: instead of shipping only few brands and only to retailers, we’d ship many brands and directly to you to your US address! And not just any brands, but authentic Finnish quality products & select Baltic brands that are proven customer favorites.
Our location in Helsinki, Finland makes that possible. When in sauna business, there simply isn’t a more perfect country in the world to be. After all, Finland is THE sauna capital of the world, and even the word sauna itself is a loan from Finnish.

2. Competitive & Transparent Pricing (& Never Asking for a Tip!)
Most of our competitors are dropshippers who are practically forced to offer an identical selection and matching prices. Since that’s not how we do business, meaning we don’t act as an intermediary but own our inventory, ship all our products ourselves, etc., we’re able to offer more competitive prices.
Another thing some of our competitors love but we never do is fake discounts. If you’re a conscious shopper, you may know that when you see something like $2,499 ($2,899), more than 95% of the time that discount is fake: the “discounted” price is the real, normal price, and the product is never sold for the higher and claimed “normal” price.
For us, the choice was clear: fake discounts, cringey countdown timers, and made-up scarcity claims are not how expensive sauna products should be marketed and sold. You should feel you have all the time in the world (which you do) to make an informed decision.
And what about the new and infuriating trend of ONLINE stores asking for a tip? Yeah, it’s not an urban legend anymore but something we recently saw a SAUNA store do. We know times are tough, but even bad taste should have its limits. Needless to say, you’ll never see a tip prompt at our checkout.

3. Free Shipping to the US & No Surprise Fees at ANY Point
If you thought our competitive prices are possible because we shift shipping and delivery costs onto you, you are fortunately mistaken: we cover shipping costs, duties, import taxes, handling fees, tariffs, and any other additional fees imaginable.
This also means there are no taxes added at checkout; the price you see is the price you pay.
Once you’ve checked out, there are no surprise charges. The shipping carrier will not ask you to pay any fees upon delivery.

4. Accurate Information Based on 40+ Years of Sauna Experience
If you’re not that versed in saunas yet, it may come as a surprise to you just how bad most sauna information is in North America.
There are many reasons for it: there is no established sauna culture in the US, people don’t have easy access to saunas, there are tons of fake saunas on the market, most people selling real saunas have no experience using them (many retailers don’t ever even see let alone handle them, as it’s the manufacturer’s job to ship them), and so on.
When you fall victim to sauna misinformation, it affects which sauna items you choose and how you use them. And when you buy from an ignorant seller who lacks the very needed sauna expertise, they often resort to artificial intelligence (AI) to “help” you.
We recently came across one sauna store’s AI-generated article about Helo, a Finnish sauna heater brand that the store in question has never used and doesn’t sell. The article has countless and serious factual errors, misrepresenting almost everything: where Helo was founded, where it currently operates, which company acquired which, which products they built their business around, what they’re most known for…
They even misspelled the name of Helo’s electric sauna heater Laava (a Finnish word meaning lava)Â 11 times, not once spelling it correctly. They also suggest Helo only has “Finnish heritage,” implying Helo is no longer Finnish or operates in Finland. While someone might not care, all we can wonder is why on earth this specific company thought it was a good idea to generate an AI article about a topic they clearly know nothing about.
Meanwhile, we at Home Is Where The Sauna Is grew up using Helo sauna heaters for decades and even witnessed their physical presence in Hanko, Finland in summer 2025.

As saunas are a niche topic and widely misunderstood in the US, it pains to think someone reads a garbage AI article without realizing it’s garbage and makes decisions based on it. Now that you know what’s out there, try to stay alert!
5. Better Warranties & Direct Support
In case you need warranty support, most sauna stores function as an intermediary between the manufacturer and customer, leaving you to deal with third parties instead of the store you purchased from.
We take a different approach. Since we’re not a middleman but own our inventory, inspect all products, and pack and ship them ourselves, we also handle warranty claims directly. If something goes wrong, you come to us and won’t be passed between companies, needing to explain your situation multiple times to parties not familiar with your case.
Because we know our products inside and out, we can confidently offer extended warranties on select products at no additional cost. For example, if the included product manual lists a 1-year warranty while our product page promises 2 years of coverage, we honor the full 2-year warranty stated on our product page.
