Being the oldest sauna stove manufacturer in the whole world, Finnish Kastor celebrates its over 100-year history with appropriately named Saga wood-burning heaters. Their 265–397 lb stone capacities make them Kastor’s best löyly (steam) stoves, enveloping you in endless clouds of soft and pleasant heat.

The stoves’ forged steel bars are built to last in demanding use year after year.

Kastor Saga is similar to another Finnish sauna brand’s competing model, Harvia Legend. When comparing the two, Kastor Saga heaters are more efficient (70%, while Harvia stays in the 60s), which means they burn wood more completely, giving you more heat out of the same log.

Proportionally, Kastor Saga heaters’ steel-to-rock ratio is higher than with Harvia Legend stoves, meaning Sagas get the job done with less total weight (and time). While Harvia’s biggest Legend (model 300) weighs 780 lbs when stacked with sauna rocks, and caps at 989 ft³, Kastor Saga 30 weighs 637 lbs when fully stacked and still heats up a bigger space of 1,059 ft³.
